Now is the time to delight in the fruits of the land, nurtured through the long warm months, and now swelled to their fullest, ripest and sweetest.
Join Earth Kin Events at the Upwey Wishing Well and celebrate the balance of day and night at our Autumn Equinox gathering Sunday 20th September 2026, 4.30 – 6.30pm.
Tickets cost £20 for adults and £10 for children (under 16).
As the last golden days of summer soften into a bygone dream, you are warmly invited to gather with storyteller Ellie Brooks at the Upwey Wishing Well to mark the autumn equinox.
Now is the time when day and night hang in perfect balance; a time of abundance, gratitude and release.
Now is the time to delight in the fruits of the land, nurtured through the long warm months, and now swelled to their fullest, ripest and sweetest.
Now is the time of soups and stews simmering on the stove, and the first smell of woodsmoke from fires kindled as the evenings draw themselves into longer nights, calling us inward toward the big dreaming of winter.
In this liminal space in time, we will cross the threshold of the autumn equinox into the realm of myth and magick, delving deep into the lore and ritual of the ancient peoples of these lands.
Come and discover:
· Why the Viking trickster god, Loki, stole away the goddess Idun and her apples of eternal youth from the divine realm of Asgard
· Why it is always wise to sow your seeds with the counsel of the moon
· Why the magickal Isle of Avalon was also known as the Isle of Apples
. . . And much more!
This event is recommended for 10 years and older but younger ones are welcome. Tickets cost £20 for adults and £10 for children.
