Earth Kin Women’s Circle ~ Tuesday 28th April 2026 ~ 7pm - 9.30pm

£15.75

Wild Hearted Women’s Circle | Beltane Celebration & Queen of the May ceremony | Tuesday 28 April 2026 | 7 - 9.30pm; Ancient Technology Centre, ‘Little Round House’, Cranborne.

Wild hearted women are invited to gather in sacred sisterhood around the Earth Kin Hearth for blessings, sharings and holdings as we celebrate Beltane!

Beltane has deep roots in these ancient lands – for time, time, and time again, the ancestors of these Isles gathered at the height of spring to celebrate fertility, abundance, passion and the fire of creation warming the land into riotous blooming, brilliant colour.

Across the UK, Beltane rituals are still woven into Mayday celebrations with bonfires, maypole dancing, Morris dancing, fayres selling abundant local produce from the land, the honouring of the Green Man, local folklore and mummer play re-enactments and the peak of the celebrations, the crowning of the May Queen.

And so, this Beltane at the Women’s Hearth, we will be celebrating ourselves as the embodiment of the May Queen, honouring our hopes, dreams, creativity, imagination and our sovereignty. . .

When was the last time you felt valued not for what you do, but for who you are? So often women in the west are appreciated only for what they are doing rather than for who they are being. . . in this circle, we will begin to un-weave some of that old ideology, practice taking up our space, as each woman is celebrated and crowned in her own right during our crowning ceremony.

Together, we will hold space for one another as we share our hopes, dreams and hurts around the fire in our sharing circle to be heard, witnessed and held, before crafting flower crowns together ready for our crowning ceremony. . . (please don’t worry if you feel you aren’t ‘crafty’ – we will all support one another through the process!)

Circle includes:

  • Sharing circle

  • Sharing of poetry, quotes or images in circle to inspire, reflect and release

  • Queen of the May crowning ceremony

  • Hot drinks and biscuits provided for the break

All women over 18 years of age welcome, from all paths of life, in this multi-faith, inclusive, warm, welcoming space.

Please do layer up warmly - we will be gathering round a roaring fire, but the veil of night still hails a chill for the unwary when the sun goes down!

Earth Kin Hearth Keeper, Ellie Brooks, will send out an email with detailed information prior to the circle on or before the morning of the circle - please keep a look out.

We have a number of donation places available to ensure this space remains as accessible as possible - please email Ellie on earthkinevents@gmail.com for further information.
